WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Open-world resource hotspot harvesting

A currently marked temporary resource hotspot in an open-world zone whose resource and tier you can gather.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Check the world map for a currently active hotspot and identify its resource and zone.
  2. Confirm your tool can gather the marked tier before traveling.
  3. Approach with an eye on hostile players and the area’s risk rules.
  4. Harvest available nodes in the hotspot, prioritizing the marked resource and enchanted nodes you can use.
  5. Gather secondary resources only if they do not displace the target haul or overload your mount.
  6. Watch the marker and your inventory; leave when the hotspot ends, is depleted or becomes contested.
  7. Bank the haul and decide whether to sell raw material or refine it after checking local options.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat when another hotspot appears; each hotspot is temporary and ends when its marker expires or the resource opportunity is depleted.

Common mistakes

  • Traveling to a hotspot with a tool that cannot harvest its tier; check access first.
  • Assuming the marker guarantees a full stock of nodes; harvest what is available and leave when depleted.
  • Ignoring players because the resource is concentrated; scout and bank before the haul becomes difficult to protect.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the hotspot ends, useful nodes are gone, inventory is full or the risk of remaining outweighs another gather.
