Before you go
- A solo-capable PvE set that can clear the guards around a chest.
- A mount and escape tools appropriate to the road’s current risk.
- A willingness to leave a chest when players or group size make the fight unfavorable.
Farming steps
- Enter a Roads portal from the open world and note the exit you can use to return.
- Inspect the connected map for a green chest and plan a short approach rather than crossing blindly.
- Check the area for players before engaging the guarding mobs.
- Clear the guards, open the chest and collect its loot and any fame books.
- Check the next connected zone and continue only if a chest or useful mob route justifies the exposure.
- Keep an eye on hostile activity and your inventory as you travel.
- Use a safe exit and bank the rewards before beginning another chain.
- A chest is optional; leaving early is better than being trapped by a group contesting it.
- Count chest fame books as part of the progression reward and secure them with the rest of your loot.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat in another road connection when you find a viable chest; each chest is a one-clear reward until it becomes available again.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a green chest belongs to the first player who reaches it; check for rivals and be ready to disengage.
- Continuing deeper without tracking exits; keep a return path in mind before taking a new connection.
- Trying to contest a group alone; abandon the chest and preserve your set.
When to stop or switch
Stop and exit when your inventory is valuable, the connected maps are crowded, or the available chests no longer justify the risk.
