WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Crystal nodes marked on The Island resource map, including some mountainous and cave locations. Select an accessible cluster that matches your gear and route.
Crystal is a targeted resource run: choose a mapped deposit, gather exposed nodes, and return with a load you can protect. Some mapped crystal locations are in caves, where reaching the resource adds travel and combat risks. For an ordinary run, select an accessible cluster first and treat cave deposits as a separate, deliberately prepared expedition.
Armor appropriate to the elevation or cave route you choose.
A mount or carrying capacity for the return load.
Select the Crystal layer on The Island resource map and choose a cluster whose access route you understand.
Use in-game landmarks to approach the cluster; check your position rather than relying on a full-map waypoint alone.
Before entering a cave or exposed area, check that your armor, supplies, and mount suit the approach and return.
Mine the visible crystal nodes with a pickaxe.
Keep the collected crystal and check your carry weight before moving to another node.
Leave by the route you planned, turning back if threats or weight make the return uncertain.
Store the crystal at base for the recipes you intend to craft.
Farming tips
The resource map includes cave deposits, but a map marker does not establish that a cave is safe or easy to reach.
Make separate plans for above-ground and cave clusters so a simple resource trip does not become an unprepared cave expedition.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a repeatable node-gathering loop: travel to an accessible mapped cluster, collect crystal, and return it to storage. Revisit when your crafting stock is low.
Common mistakes
Entering a cave solely because it has crystal: prepare for the cave itself, or choose an exposed deposit.
Overloading a mount far from the exit: check weight during the run and leave before the return becomes unsafe.
Assuming map coordinate displays match exactly: navigate by recognizable landmarks and recheck your in-game position.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the return load is sufficient for your next crafting need, your carrier is becoming difficult to move, or the approach turns unsafe.
