WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Irrigate Crop Plots from a Water Line

A base farm where a water line can connect a water source to a tap near crop plots.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Place a crop plot in the intended farm location and decide where the nearby tap can serve it.
  2. Connect the irrigation line from the water source toward the farm.
  3. Place and connect a tap so it can irrigate the nearby plot.
  4. Inspect the plot's in-game information and confirm that water is registered.
  5. If water is absent, check the source, line connection, and tap placement before planting more plots.
  6. Add a seed and fertilizer to the test plot, then verify those inputs on its display as well.
  7. Repeat the arrangement for additional plots only after the first one shows a working supply.

Repeat, collect and use

This is a one-time infrastructure setup with ongoing maintenance. Recheck plots after moving pipes or plots, and top up fertilizer as crops consume it.

Common mistakes

  • Planting several plots before testing water: verify a single plot first.
  • Treating irrigation as a substitute for seeds or fertilizer: supply all crop inputs.
  • Ignoring a disconnected line or misplaced tap: inspect the plot status and repair the path from source to tap.

When to stop or switch

Stop building the line once the test plot displays water and the other required inputs are present; extend it only for additional plots that need service.
