Before you go
- Episode 17 access and the relevant preceding chapter progression.
- Extreme Mode available in the Episode 17 interface.
- A squad suited to the displayed enemies and enough Practice Plans to rehearse difficult stages.
Farming steps
- Open Episode 17 and select its Extreme Mode tab when it is available.
- Choose the earliest unlocked H17 stage and inspect its enemy preview and map before entering.
- Use a Practice Plan to test an opening and deployment positions if the map presents unfamiliar pressure.
- Complete the stage’s displayed clear condition, then claim the result shown by the game.
- Return to the Extreme Mode list and select the next stage once it becomes available.
- Continue in order through H17-1, H17-2, H17-3, and H17-4, checking each map separately before attempting it.
- After clearing H17-4, review the stage list and any displayed completion objectives to confirm the set is finished.
- Plan for the stage shown on screen; a deployment that worked on one H17 map may not suit the next map’s enemies or layout.
- Use Practice Plans to refine placement before a live attempt, and check the stage interface for available completion objectives.
Repeat, collect and use
The four-stage set is progression content, not a repeatable resource farm. Replay a cleared stage only if you still need a displayed objective or want to practice.
Common mistakes
- Assuming H17-1 through H17-4 are available at once; clear in order and check the list for the next unlock.
- Treating Extreme Mode as a material grind; use the stage reward preview and target it for challenge progression.
- Repeating completed stages without a remaining objective; verify the completion state before spending further attempts.
When to stop or switch
Stop after H17-4 is cleared and the interface shows no remaining Extreme stage or objective you want to complete. Resume later if access or squad readiness is the limiting factor.
