Hematite deposits on Glacio, found by exploring the surface or caves with a suitable oxygen plan.
Travel to Glacio when you need Hematite, mine deposits you can reach safely, and refine the ore at a Smelting Furnace. Hematite is also listed on Novus, but this guide keeps the route focused on a Glacio expedition. Planet resource placement varies, so use the planet resource panel and the deposits you find rather than expecting a particular vein along a fixed path.

Prepare a return-capable oxygen and transport setup before leaving for Glacio.

Return the load to your base or another safe furnace location.
Place Hematite in a powered Smelting Furnace and collect the refined Iron.
Store Iron for the recipes or construction that prompted the expedition.
Farming tips
Take enough storage for the planned run, but preserve space for the return journey.
Refine near your main storage when possible so Iron does not remain mixed with unprocessed ore.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the expedition while accessible Hematite deposits remain and you need more Iron. Each deposit is collected once; another trip depends on finding more ore.
Common mistakes
Treating Hematite as finished Iron: smelt the ore before using it in recipes that require Iron.
Entering caves without a safe oxygen route: extend coverage and keep the exit path clear.
Assuming the resource panel guarantees a nearby deposit: use it to confirm the target, then search terrain you can reach.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the Iron stock covers your next planned builds, or when the safe route no longer yields Hematite. Switch to Novus if it better suits your available expedition setup.
