WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Trade Scrap for a Needed Resource

A base or work area with a Shredder, Trade Platform, power, scrapable debris, and access to the target resource exchange.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Sort debris and identify items you can afford to shred rather than items needed for another build.
  2. Place the appropriate Shredder at a powered work area and process the chosen debris into Scrap.
  3. Collect the Scrap and bring it to the Trade Platform.
  4. Load Scrap onto the Trade Platform rocket using its input slots.
  5. Open the exchange choices and select the target resource you need.
  6. Check the displayed trade requirement and make sure your loaded currency is sufficient.
  7. Send the rocket through the platform’s exchange, then unload and store the returned resource.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the shred-and-trade cycle whenever you have more disposable debris and need another resource. The trade can be used again, but each cycle consumes the Scrap loaded onto the platform.

Common mistakes

  • Shredding an item you still need: sort debris before feeding the Shredder.
  • Loading Scrap without checking the selected trade requirement: confirm the platform’s current display first.
  • Assuming the exchange creates free resources: it consumes Scrap, so plan how much material to convert.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the target resource covers the current build or production gap, or when the remaining debris is too useful to shred. Resume when you have more genuinely unwanted items and another resource need.
