WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Gather Compound

Sylva surface near your base, where visible Compound deposits can be mined with the Terrain Tool.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Start at your base and follow a known, safe route across the nearby Sylva surface.
  2. Look for visible Compound clusters before moving beyond your reliable oxygen supply.
  3. Use the Terrain Tool on a cluster and collect the released Compound nuggets.
  4. Continue to another visible deposit only while you have room to carry the materials back.
  5. Return along the route you used, then unload the Compound beside your printer or storage.
  6. If surface deposits are inconvenient, take soil canisters to a Soil Centrifuge and choose Compound as its output.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the surface sweep whenever local deposits are available, or collect soil and process it for more Compound. Deposits are individual finds; the soil conversion can be repeated as needed.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving the base without an oxygen plan: bring tethers or another dependable supply before exploring.
  • Using the whole stack on a nonessential craft: set aside the amount you need for tethers first.
  • Assuming the centrifuge creates Compound from nothing: it consumes soil canisters, so collect soil before selecting that output.

When to stop or switch

Stop when your storage holds the Compound needed for the next planned build and a tether reserve. Switch to a soil collection loop if nearby surface deposits are no longer convenient.
