Before you go
- Complete Inner Edania access and meet the current AP and DP recommendations.
- Prepare for the zone’s damage and crowd-control effects.
- Bring enough damage and mobility to progress through both crystals while Watchful Gaze is active.
Farming steps
- Choose a documented rotation and approach its central tower.
- Clear the five packs around the tower, focusing each Enslaved Overseer. Kill red crystal porters near other monsters for their explosion; if you want the quota-failure effect, prevent them from reaching the crystal.
- Defeat Markthanan’s Daughter when she appears to gain Watchful Gaze.
- Move to the first crystal and clear its packs and cycles. Focus Overseers, and decide whether to let porters reach the crystal or stop them to trigger the quota failure effect on Overseers in the next cycle.
- After the first crystal is destroyed, move straight to the second while Watchful Gaze remains active.
- Clear the second crystal’s cycles, then defeat Markthanan’s Servant when it appears.
- Collect the zone drops. After the automatic-wave phase, return to the tower to begin another cycle.
- Check the current NA/EU drop table before settling on a target: the September 2026 update changed rates and removed several former high-tier pigment and luster drops.
- A failed porter quota is not simply a lost cycle: it makes Overseers in the next cycle explode when killed, damaging nearby monsters.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the tower, daughter, two-crystal, and servant sequence, then restart at the tower after the automatic-wave phase. Weekly kill quests are limited by their reset and must be accepted while available.
Common mistakes
- Assuming porters should always be stopped: allowing them to arrive avoids the quota-failure condition; stopping them creates the next-cycle Overseer explosions. Choose based on the cycle you want.
- Letting Watchful Gaze expire before reaching the second crystal: move promptly after destroying the first crystal or the route can reset.
- Following an outdated loot list: verify the live zone table before targeting materials changed by recent patches.
When to stop or switch
Switch zones if you repeatedly fail the Watchful Gaze sequence or if the item you need is absent from Hermesia’s current loot table.
