WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Arms Race in Stormblind Complex, Designer’s Cut DLC. The Madwidth Power chest is the target when its zone is marked for the run.
The Plasma Coil belongs to Arms Race loot, so campaign boss farming is not the route for it. In the Designer’s Cut mode, drop into Stormblind Complex with no usual build loadout, gather temporary gear, and reach the Madwidth Power chest when its marked zone is available. Extract the weapon before the run ends to keep it on your character.
Before you go Own and access the Designer’s Cut DLC and Arms Race. Be prepared for a no-build mode where campaign gear and skills do not provide the usual advantage. Know the Gear Extractor locations well enough to bank a desired item before the run ends. Launch Arms Race and inspect the map for the marked Madwidth Power zone. Drop into Stormblind Complex and collect temporary weapons and gear from containers and enemies. Move toward the marked zone while staying ahead of the closing Murdercane, which can cut off routes. Reach the Madwidth Power chest and open it, checking for a Plasma Coil. If the weapon appears, carry it to a Gear Extractor and use the machine to bank it. Confirm the extraction, then continue or finish the run; the extracted item returns to your character’s inventory. Farming tips The chest increases the chance of a Plasma Coil but does not guarantee one. Prioritize survival and extraction once you have the target; dying before extraction loses the unbanked run gear. Repeat, collect and use Repeat Arms Race runs and check the Madwidth Power chest when available. Extract each desired weapon before the run ends; the drop is not guaranteed.
Common mistakes Expecting the campaign build to work normally: Arms Race is a separate no-build mode. Leaving with an unextracted Plasma Coil: use a Gear Extractor before the run ends. Treating the marked chest as a guaranteed drop: repeat if the target does not appear. When to stop or switch Stop once you have extracted the Plasma Coil you want, or pause this target if the no-build runs are no longer worth the effort.
