Repeat the Maliwan Blacksite Takedown

The Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite begins aboard Sanctuary III and sends the crew to Midnight’s Cairn.

Before you go

Reach the level gate for the Takedown and unlock its interaction point aboard Sanctuary III.
Bring a geared endgame build for sustained fights and the Wotan encounter.
Check the available party or solo scaling option before launching, if your version offers it.

Travel to Sanctuary III and locate the marked Takedown interaction point.
Accept The Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite mission.
Use the ship’s travel route to reach Midnight’s Cairn.
Advance through the Maliwan combat arenas, collecting useful drops as the route opens.
Reach and defeat Wotan, then inspect the encounter drops and reward area.
Keep useful items, clear inventory space, and restart the Takedown if its rewards remain your target.

The activity is an endgame challenge; a lower difficulty or solo scaling setting can make repeated clears more practical.
Use a dedicated item source when seeking a particular named weapon rather than assuming the Takedown’s broad rewards will include it.

Repeatable after completing the route and launching the mission again. Specific gear is not guaranteed on each clear.

Launching before meeting the activity’s level gate: progress the campaign until the Takedown is accessible.
Expecting a short boss-only loop: the route includes arenas before Wotan.
Ignoring available solo scaling: check the launch options and choose the setting your build can handle.

Stop after obtaining the item you want or when the run is no longer producing useful upgrades; switch to a shorter dedicated farm if appropriate.
