Farm Soul Essence at Veteran or higher
Rare and elite enemy encounters during Veteran-or-higher play after character level 10.
Before you go
- Character level 10 or higher.
- Veteran difficulty unlocked and selected, or a higher difficulty.
- A route through eligible content where you can handle rare and elite enemies.
Farming steps
- Check that your character is level 10 or above.
- Set the difficulty to Veteran or higher before entering content.
- Choose eligible content that you can clear without frequent deaths or abandoned runs.
- Progress through the encounters and watch for rare and elite enemies.
- Defeat those targets and collect Soul Essence when it drops.
- Continue through the content, checking your Soul Essence inventory between runs.
- Use the collected Essence for the crafting need you planned, then reassess your remaining stock.
- Repeat eligible runs if you still need more.
- If Essence is not appearing, first verify both the level and difficulty gates; changing activity does not fix an unmet gate.
- Prioritize rare and elite enemies along your chosen route, while keeping the difficulty within a range you can clear.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable after both gates are met. Soul Essence is collected from eligible play, but a guaranteed drop per enemy or run is not established.
Common mistakes
- Farming below level 10; reach the character-level gate first.
- Leaving difficulty below Veteran; select Veteran or above before the route.
- Clearing ordinary encounters while overlooking rare or elite targets; check the route for those enemies and defeat them.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough Soul Essence for the planned crafting use, or switch to character progression if you have not yet met level 10.
