WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Gold Ore

Clay Caves in the inner ring next to the Undergrounds.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Use the Core as a reference and follow an unexplored branch until you enter the Clay Caves.
  2. Search Clay terrain for Gold deposits, collecting visible ore as you move through safe passages.
  3. Mine nearby Tin as well if it is useful, but keep the two ores sorted in your inventory or storage.
  4. Avoid acid and traps, particularly if the route approaches a Larva Hive sub-biome.
  5. Return along your map-marked tunnel before the pack fills or combat supplies run low.
  6. Smelt Gold Ore in a Furnace and collect the resulting bars.
  7. Store the bars for the workbench, equipment, or recipes that call for Gold.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable in remaining unexplored Clay Caves terrain; each mined deposit is consumed, so fresh resource supply requires new terrain.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming Gold is an outer-biome resource: search Clay Caves in the inner ring.
  • Mining deeper into a dangerous hive just to reach a nearby vein: clear hazards or find another deposit.
  • Combining ore before processing: keep Gold identified so it does not get confused with Tin or other metals.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the Gold stock needed for your current recipe or crafting plan; switch to Tin or Iron if those bars are the immediate progression requirement.
