Dogtown’s recurring red-smoke airdrops, triggered after starting “Lucretia My Reflection” and leaving the hideout.
Before you go
- Own Phantom Liberty and reach Dogtown.
- Start “Lucretia My Reflection” and leave the Elizabeth Kress Street hideout to activate the airdrop activity.
- Reach level 41 for the documented start of the recurring Iconic pool.
- Prepare for Barghest guards or have a way to reach the cache safely.
Farming steps
- Before farming, confirm Chesapeake is the target and that you are pursuing the recurring pool rather than a fixed-placement weapon.
- Explore Dogtown until you hear an aircraft cue; look for red smoke and follow the cache’s beeping.
- Approach with cover in mind, then defeat or bypass the Barghest guarding the cache.
- Open the cache and complete Breach Protocol if the interaction calls for it.
- Check the weapon reward for Chesapeake and collect it if present.
- If it is not present, secure any useful loot and leave only after the cache is cleared.
- Resume exploring Dogtown and follow the next airdrop cue; keep track of your pool progress without assuming a fixed interval.
- Level 41 is the relevant threshold; several earlier drops do not rule out later pool rewards.
- Airdrops also contain randomized loot, so do not treat a cache without Chesapeake as a failed route.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable through subsequent Dogtown airdrops. Each individual cache is a limited opportunity that can despawn if abandoned; the target is not guaranteed from one cache.
Common mistakes
- Farming below the documented level threshold: reach level 41 before judging the pool’s availability.
- Leaving the cache during combat: finish and loot it before moving far enough away for it to despawn.
- Using Herold as a guaranteed source for Chesapeake: the available recovery information does not confirm that stock.
When to stop or switch
Stop when Chesapeake is in your inventory, or switch to another progression goal if you no longer need it.
