WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Lothric Castle bonfire and the nearby knights and clerics on the short route.
The Lothric Castle bonfire provides access to a short loop with nearby knights and clerics. Knights can drop Large Titanite Shards, Chunks, Embers, and Refined Gems, while defeating the group produces souls. The material drops are random, so treat them as a bonus rather than a guaranteed supply. Separate enemies, collect everything, and return to the bonfire to reset the route.
Original Chinese hand-drawn Lothric Castle approach and bonfire layout. Item labels mark fixed pickups and connections; they are not repeatable enemy-drop markers.
GET STARTED
How to farm
Before you go
Reach Lothric Castle and activate the bonfire.
Bring a dependable weapon for the knights and clerics.
Have enough healing for repeated runs.
Know which upgrade material or Gem you want to collect alongside souls.
Rest at the Lothric Castle bonfire and move toward the nearby enemies.
Identify any cleric supporting a knight and avoid fighting both at once.
Draw the knight away or defeat the cleric first to reduce healing and buffs.
Defeat the nearby enemies and collect souls, equipment drops, and materials.
Check inventory for the specific Chunk, Large Shard, Ember, or Refined Gem you are pursuing.
Return to the bonfire and rest to respawn the route.
Repeat while the fights remain safe, then spend souls or take materials to Andre.
Farming tips
Red-eyed knights can make the route more dangerous; do not force the whole group if a smaller loop is safer.
Titanite reinforces equipment while Gems change infusion scaling; choose the correct output for your weapon plan.
Repeat, collect and use
The enemies respawn after resting, so the combined soul and drop attempt is repeatable. Specific item drops are random, and fixed pickups are separate.
Common mistakes
Fighting near cleric support without accounting for healing: separate the knight or remove the cleric.
Treating all upgrade materials as interchangeable: verify whether the weapon needs Titanite or an infusion Gem.
Resetting before collecting drops: gather items and check inventory first.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough souls and the material quota for your next upgrade, or switch to a safer, more focused farm if one target remains outstanding.
