WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm The Pit beneath Tamoe Highland in Act I; reach the entrance through the highland area beyond the Outer Cloister route.
Clear both levels of the Pit in Tamoe Highland when you want a monster farm that is less centered on a single boss. It is especially useful for runeword base searches and general loot because you can cover the area at your own pace and skip enemies your build cannot handle.
Before you go Reach Hell difficulty and have enough damage and resistance for the area. Bring a build that can handle the immunities you may encounter or bypass them. Leave inventory space for runes, charms, and candidate bases. Travel from the Outer Cloister or Black Marsh access into Tamoe Highland. Search the area for the cave entrance to the Pit. Clear Level 1 in a deliberate sweep, prioritizing elite packs and dense groups. Collect runes, charms, and plain bases appropriate to your runeword plans. Descend to Level 2 and clear its packs and containers on the way to the final chamber. Return to town to identify and store useful finds, then reset for another run. Farming tips The Pit is an area farm, so broad clearing can yield more opportunities than rushing only one boss. Skip an immune pack that your build cannot damage safely; do not turn one obstacle into a long fight. Repeat, collect and use Repeat whenever you want a Hell area clear; item and rune drops remain random, with no guaranteed target.
Common mistakes Searching for a fixed entrance location; the route through Tamoe Highland can vary. Treating every pack as mandatory; bypass dangerous immunities to protect your run pace. Expecting a particular unique from an area-level farm; use it for broad loot and bases. When to stop or switch Stop when you have the bases or materials you need, or change to a faster route if traversal and immunities slow the clear.
