Before you go
- Access to an active Helltide and an Accursed Ritual site.
- Baneful Hearts if you plan to activate the altar yourself.
- A build that can handle the encounter’s waves and boss.
Farming steps
- Check the Helltide map for an Accursed Ritual circle and travel there.
- Inspect the altar and confirm the Heart contribution required in the current game.
- Place available Baneful Hearts to begin the ritual, or coordinate with nearby players who can contribute.
- Fight the enemy waves and keep space to move around the ritual site.
- Defeat the Blood Maiden when she appears.
- Collect the drops and check whether players nearby are ready for another activation.
- Coordinate Heart contributions with nearby players before starting if you want to support repeated summons.
- Clear surrounding threats first when they could make the ritual difficult to manage.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat while the Helltide is active and you or nearby players can supply Hearts. The event is limited to the active Helltide, and its rewards are not a guaranteed specific item.
Common mistakes
- Arriving without Hearts and assuming you can activate alone: check your inventory or arrange contributions first.
- Starting while surrounded: clear nearby threats when possible before beginning the waves.
- Expecting a particular Unique: use a boss with a matching target pool when you need a specific item.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the Helltide ends, Hearts are no longer available, or the general drops no longer fit your goal; return to chest farming to spend remaining Cinders.
