WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Clear Weeds and Farm Debris

Farm Soil beds and paths between garden rows.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Walk each row and inspect plants, soil, and spaces between crops.
  2. Remove weeds as soon as you identify them so they stop consuming nutrients.
  3. Clear garden debris and obstructions from planting spots and paths.
  4. Restore planting spots with the hoe where needed.
  5. Replant any lost crop from saved seeds or bird-converted produce.
  6. Check the neighboring plants and nutrient condition after cleanup.
  7. Continue ordinary watering and tending for the remaining crop cycle.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat during every crop cycle; new weeds or debris can appear, so one cleanup is not permanent.

Common mistakes

  • Clearing only the center of a bed: inspect edges and paths too.
  • Removing weeds but not restoring a lost planting spot: rehoe and replant where appropriate.
  • Expecting cleanup to replace crop care: continue moisture, nutrient, and tending checks.

When to stop or switch

Stop clearing once every plot is accessible and free of weeds or obstructive debris; return to cleanup when inspection finds new problems.
