A Pig House area for manure, and a Marsh edge where Merms and Tentacles may already be fighting.
Before you go
- Vegetables, fruit, or petals to feed pigs
- Armor and weapon for marsh travel
- A safe retreat path from Marsh Mermhouses and Tentacles
Farming steps
- Visit a Pig House and place suitable food for a pig to eat.
- Collect the manure the pig produces and leave the pig population intact.
- Store manure for Farm Soil plots that need that nutrient.
- For marsh scavenging, approach from the edge and observe for Merms fighting Tentacles.
- Wait for the fight to finish without engaging multiple Merms yourself.
- Collect visible fish or Frog Legs only when the immediate area is safe.
- Leave the marsh before drawing more enemies toward the route.
- Treat manure gathering as the safer routine and marsh scavenging as an opportunistic trip.
- Keep a retreat route clear; do not corner yourself among Mermhouses and Tentacles.
Repeat, collect and use
Pig manure collection can repeat while pigs are fed and Pig Houses remain; marsh drops recur only when suitable creatures fight and leave loot.
Common mistakes
- Killing the pig instead of feeding it: preserve the renewable source and collect its manure.
- Entering a group of Merms: wait for an aftermath or retreat rather than fighting several.
- Assuming a Tentacle fight is safe: observe from the edge and approach only after combat ends.
When to stop or switch
Leave the Marsh if more than one Merm is active nearby or the route to safety is blocked; resume manure gathering at the pig area.
