Claim the Monster Culling Portcrystal reward

Monster Culling quest reward; portable Portcrystal can be placed at suitable outdoor locations.

Before you go

Have the June 2026 travel update installed.
Access and complete Monster Culling, unless it is already complete on your save.
Have an outdoor destination in mind for the portable crystal.

Check your inventory for a portable Portcrystal if Monster Culling was completed before updating.
If the quest is unfinished, progress to Monster Culling and complete its objectives.
Collect or verify the portable Portcrystal reward after quest completion.
Choose a remote outdoor location that you expect to revisit, such as a cave or objective route.
Use the Portcrystal from inventory at suitable open ground.
Confirm the destination appears on the map before leaving.
Later, travel to it with a Ferrystone or Eternal Ferrystone; retrieve and reposition the portable crystal when priorities change.

Use the reward where it removes a meaningful return trip; ordinary fixed town points may already cover routine travel.
Placement is location-sensitive, so move a short distance outdoors and try again if the game rejects the spot.

One-time quest reward. The portable crystal can be retrieved and moved, but completing the quest again is not a supported repeat farm.

Repeating the quest after an earlier completion without checking inventory; eligible saves receive the reward after updating.
Assuming the stone activates itself; place it and confirm the destination on the map.
Trying to place indoors or in a restricted area; use suitable outdoor ground.

Stop once the reward is in inventory and its destination is active, or once you confirm an already completed quest granted it.
