Collect the Waterfall Cave Ferrystone

Waterfall Cave, north of Melve in Vermund.

Before you go

Reach the cave entrance north of Melve.
Bring a party prepared for cave exploration and combat.
Have an active Portcrystal destination if you plan to use the Ferrystone immediately.

Travel north from Melve to the Waterfall Cave entrance and enter the cave.
Advance beyond the entry passage, checking the side chambers and branches as you go.
Search the fixed chest route in the interior for the Ferrystone.
Open the chest and confirm the item appears in your inventory.
Leave the cave and keep the stone until you need to travel to an active Portcrystal.
When using it, select the destination from the map and make sure you are outdoors with open sky overhead.

Mark the pickup complete once collected; returning to the same chest is not a reliable way to replenish Ferrystones.
The June 2026 update added the reusable Eternal Ferrystone after Seat of the Sovran, so ordinary Ferrystones are less essential after that reward.

One-time fixed chest pickup. Explore other marked Ferrystone locations or use the Eternal Ferrystone for reusable travel after obtaining it.

Expecting the chest to provide a continuing farm; treat it as a single collectible.
Trying to travel from indoors; move outside to open sky before using a Ferrystone.
Assuming a Ferrystone creates a destination; activate or place a Portcrystal first.

Stop when the chest is looted. If you already have the Eternal Ferrystone and no need for an extra consumable, move on to another cave objective.
