Incursions and gear
Unlock a map-specific Incursion weapon
Completing an Incursion permanently unlocks its associated weapon for purchase from the Wayfarer.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Unlock a map-specific Incursion weapon
The Incursion map associated with the weapon you want, followed by the Wayfarer in Town.
Before you go
- Unlock the relevant Incursion through Chaos Expedition progression.
- Have a build suited to the Incursion’s altered encounter and mutators.
- Save 500 Defender Medals for the Wayfarer purchase if you want the guaranteed weapon.
Farming steps
- Open Incursions and identify the map associated with the target weapon.
- Read the special encounter rules and enemy schedule before beginning.
- Build defenses to counter the map’s unique challenge and any listed mutators.
- Complete the Incursion’s waves and victory condition.
- Claim the completion reward; this permanently unlocks the map’s weapon at the Wayfarer.
- Visit the Wayfarer and purchase the weapon for 500 Defender Medals if you want a direct copy.
- Replay the map only if you want another victory-chest chance or further completion rewards.
- The map completion unlock is permanent, so you do not need to replay solely to unlock the purchase again.
- Many Incursion weapons can also appear in that map’s victory chest, but the chest chance is not guaranteed.
Repeat, collect and use
The purchase unlock is one-time and permanent for the account; the Wayfarer purchase costs medals per weapon. Replays provide further chest chances, not a guaranteed duplicate.
Common mistakes
- Repeating the Incursion before checking the Wayfarer unlock; buy the weapon directly once unlocked if that is your goal.
- Assuming the victory chest always gives the weapon; use the guaranteed medal purchase for certainty.
When to stop or switch
Stop after obtaining the weapon or when you have enough medals and no longer need chest chances; switch to another Incursion for a different weapon.
