Tavern Defense is listed as an experience option, and Pure Strategy Survival lets you advance through waves with defenses doing the combat work. Pure Strategy disables hero attacks during combat, so build quality matters. Start with a difficulty and wave pace your setup can sustain, then claim progress from completed waves and leave before the run becomes unsafe.
Before you go Complete Tavern Defense campaign to unlock its Survival and Pure Strategy choices. Prepare a defense build suitable for the map’s lanes. Select a difficulty that your defenses can sustain without hero attacks. Open Tavern Defense in the mission selector and choose Pure Strategy Survival. Set a manageable difficulty; remember that heroes cannot attack during combat in this mode. Use the build phase to place defenses around lane approaches and vulnerable crystals. Start the wave and let defenses handle enemies while you monitor their health and coverage. Between waves, repair or strengthen the lane that showed the most strain. Continue through waves that remain stable and collect experience from completed progress. Leave the run when pressure becomes too high, then return to the mission menu to repeat. Farming tips Pure Strategy rewards a tested defense layout because hero combat is unavailable. Higher difficulty can improve experience, but only choose it if waves still finish reliably. Repeat, collect and use Repeat Survival sessions for as many waves as your build can safely complete; the run is repeatable, but a failed run may end progress.
Common mistakes Using a combat-dependent plan: Pure Strategy requires defenses to handle enemies. Advancing through waves without repairing weak lanes: fix observed gaps between rounds. Starting at an unstable difficulty: step down until the setup reliably holds. When to stop or switch Stop the session when a lane repeatedly fails or switch to a completed campaign map for a shorter, safer experience loop.
