- Antiquities access and Scrying/Excavation skill appropriate to the lead.
- Access to Telvanni Peninsula.
- Inventory space for wood materials and the eventual antiquity reward.
Farming steps
- Travel through Telvanni Peninsula with wood harvesting as your primary activity.
- Collect wood from nodes you encounter and check the journal periodically for the Setting Sap lead.
- Continue gathering if the lead has not appeared; no individual node guarantees it.
- When the lead is available, select it from the Antiquities menu and scry in Telvanni Peninsula.
- Follow the revealed clues and use foci to narrow the dig area.
- Locate the marked site, excavate the antiquity, then collect the resulting item.
- Keep or use the reward and bank or process the harvested wood as appropriate.
- Pair the route with a crafting-material run so node gathering remains useful even without a lead drop.
- Lead acquisition is chance-based; avoid repeatedly revisiting one node as if it guaranteed the lead.
Repeat, collect and use
Wood gathering can be repeated indefinitely, but the lead drop is chance-based and the excavation itself is a finite reward unless another lead is obtained.
Common mistakes
- Expecting a lead from every node: continue normal harvesting and treat it as a possible bonus.
- Scrying in the wrong zone: this lead must be handled in Telvanni Peninsula.
- Leaving before excavating: a lead in the journal still needs to be scryed and dug up.
When to stop or switch
Stop the Antiquity portion once Setting Sap is excavated; continue gathering only if you still want the wood materials.
