WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Before you go
- A pickaxe and equipment suitable for Kindlewastes threats.
- Access to the Kindlewastes.
- Supplies and a return plan for Shroud and hostile encounters.
Farming steps
- Travel to the Kindlewastes and locate Ridgeback Mine using your in-game map and landmarks.
- Before entering, check your supplies, pack, and route back to safety.
- Move through the mine cautiously, clearing immediate threats that block access to veins.
- Mine visible iron deposits and collect the ore before continuing farther into the passages.
- Turn back when your pack is nearing capacity or your safe return margin is shrinking.
- Return to base and process or store the ore for the iron recipes currently available to you.
- Mark Ridgeback Mine after discovering it so later trips can start with a known destination.
- Combine iron collection with other Kindlewastes errands only when the added detour still leaves a safe exit.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the mine visit when your iron reserve falls below the amount needed for planned recipes. The loop is repeatable, but do not count on a specific vein layout or yield.
Common mistakes
- Treating the mine as safe because it is a known iron source: prepare for local enemies and Shroud exposure.
- Pushing deeper with a nearly full pack: turn back while you can still extract safely.
- Confusing ore collection with finished metal: bring iron to the required processing station before crafting.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your planned iron recipes are covered or the return route becomes unsafe; switch to another resource task while your stock is processed.
