Before you go
- An exploration ship with probe launcher and probes.
- A Data Analyzer for the event containers.
- A fit and travel plan appropriate to the security of the systems on your route.
- Cargo space to collect selected loot and return it safely.
Farming steps
- Choose Angils or Essin based on your route and the event tasks currently displayed.
- Scan cosmic signatures and resolve the event data site before warping.
- Check local and directional scan, then approach a container only if the system remains suitable.
- Use the Data Analyzer to complete the container hack.
- Collect successful loot, including Mutated Blood Samples if they appear in the recovered items.
- Repeat at another available event site while keeping an eye on player activity.
- Return to a safe station and sort the haul before taking another route.
- Avoid carrying a large accumulated haul across several exposed systems; deposit it when practical.
- A successful hack is not a guaranteed sample drop, so plan around the value of the overall loot.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat while event signatures are available and the Crimson Harvest event remains active through November 3, 2026. The seasonal sites do not provide a permanent loop after closure.
Common mistakes
- Assuming all containers give Mutated Blood Samples: inspect the actual contents and value each haul.
- Ignoring directional scan during a long hack: recheck while operating in shared space.
- Using a combat ship that cannot scan or hack: fit the probes and analyzer needed for this route.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your event objective is complete, the system becomes unsafe, or the remaining travel no longer makes sense for your cargo. Secure the loot before switching regions.
