Activities and public events
Repeat Riding Shotgun with Vinny
Run Vinny’s repeatable caravan escort for Activity rewards, Caps, and combat loot when the event is available.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Repeat Riding Shotgun with Vinny
Big Bend Tunnel East; speak with Vinny at the tunnel entrance.
Before you go
- Reach Big Bend Tunnel East and locate Vinny.
- Bring a weapon, ammunition, and healing suitable for defending a moving caravan.
- Leave carry space for event rewards and picked-up loot.
Farming steps
- Travel to Big Bend Tunnel East and speak to Vinny.
- If he offers Riding Shotgun, accept the event and follow the caravan’s route into the tunnel.
- Stay near the escort and respond to attack prompts as they appear.
- Defeat threats along the route, keeping the caravan’s objective active rather than wandering off for unrelated loot.
- Complete the final defense and wait for the event completion notice.
- Collect the reward bundle and any loot you want to keep.
- Speak with Vinny again when you are ready to check whether another run can begin.
- The event is not in the ordinary time rotation; Vinny is the place to verify whether a start is available.
- Use the event’s on-screen status instead of assuming an exact start time after a run.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat by speaking to Vinny after the 20-minute interval, as long as the event is available; this is a repeatable activity, not a continuously launchable one.
Common mistakes
- Searching Featured Activities for Riding Shotgun; go to Vinny because this activity is excluded from that rotation.
- Starting without enough supplies for a tunnel fight; prepare before accepting.
- Leaving the escort route to chase incidental enemies; prioritize the caravan objective and completion.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have collected the reward you wanted or Vinny cannot start another run yet.
