Before you go
- A season check so the target forage is available.
- Open inventory slots for gathered items.
- A short list of Museum, request, or gift targets to prioritize.
Farming steps
- Choose the forage item you need and check its season and known location before leaving.
- Walk into the forest east of town and inspect ground pickups and bushes along the path.
- Collect Middlemist there during Spring if it is your target; check other seasonal forage as you travel.
- Continue along Eastern Road and nearby accessible paths, watching for visible pickups rather than assuming every item appears every visit.
- Return before inventory fills and separate first copies from surplus.
- Donate, deliver, or gift reserved items to their intended destination.
- Ship or store duplicates after those goals are covered.
- Use a spare inventory slot buffer so a target pickup is not blocked by incidental finds.
- Pair foraging with nearby errands, but keep track of which path items are seasonal.
Repeat, collect and use
Visible forage gathering can be repeated when items are present, but seasonal targets are limited to their season and may require a later year if missed.
Common mistakes
- Searching in the wrong season can’t produce a seasonal target; confirm its season first.
- Shipping the only copy before donation or delivery forces another search; reserve it on return.
- Rushing the path without checking bushes and ground pickups can miss the target; scan the route as you walk.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the target quantity and any first-copy collection need are met; switch to another season-appropriate route or activity.
