Wind Farms are a named target for copper wiring and turbines. Bring a cutter, harvest their copper-bearing components, and store the material for electronics or airship upgrades.

How to farm

Before you go

Airship access to a Wind Farm.
Cutter tool.
Cargo space for copper components.

Locate a Wind Farm point of interest and approach a safe landing or working position.
Inspect the turbine assemblies and surrounding wiring for copper-bearing components.
Use the cutter on accessible turbines or wiring.
Collect the recovered copper and check the rest of the installation for additional targets.
Store the material aboard and reserve it for the electronic or ship recipes you plan to make.

Farming tips

Standalone wind turbines may also appear in the world, though Wind Farms are the specifically named target.
Keep the harvested copper separate from general salvage in your inventory if you are stocking for a planned recipe.

Repeat, collect and use

Continue to other Wind Farm sites when your copper supply is short. The sources establish where to look, but do not guarantee a particular yield or that a cleared farm regenerates.

Common mistakes

Searching only for loose copper chunks: wiring and turbines are the documented forms.
Forgetting the cutter: these components are harvested with the tool.
