How to farm

Before you go

Unlock the Tianqiu Valley waypoint or reach the valley on foot.
Target Lv. 40+ Vishaps for Sturdy Bone Shards and Lv. 60+ for Fossilized Bone Shards.
Have a party able to handle the local enemies without frequent recovery stops.

Teleport to the Tianqiu Valley waypoint.
Sweep the nearby terrain and defeat the Geovishap Hatchlings you find.
Check each enemy’s level against the shard tier you need before continuing a long route.
After clearing the local group, open the Adventurer Handbook and select the Vishap enemy entries.
Navigate to additional discovered Vishaps and defeat them.
Review the shard inventory and use the materials in the intended character or weapon upgrade.
Leave Primo Geovishap and Azhdaha out of this common-enemy route; they are bosses.

Farming tips

Use the Handbook after the valley group is gone to find additional discovered targets.
Do not assume every Vishap will drop a particular shard; count materials in your inventory as you go.

Repeat, collect and use

The field hunt can be repeated after enemy respawns. The local route is not a one-time reward; the Handbook only tracks discovered targets.

Common mistakes

Targeting enemies below the tier threshold: prioritize Lv. 40+ or Lv. 60+ targets for the respective higher shards.
Searching only Tianqiu Valley: extend the route with Handbook entries after clearing the Hatchlings.
Treating boss drops as the main source: focus on common Vishap enemies for this material family.

When to stop or switch

Stop once the needed shard tier is sufficient for the planned upgrade, or when the available tracked Vishaps are cleared.
