Elemental gemstones are required for character ascension. Pick a boss that drops the element you need and, when possible, also gives the character’s boss-specific ascension material to make each Resin claim serve two needs.

Before you go

Identify the character’s element and any required boss-specific ascension material.
Have Original Resin for the boss reward claim.
Keep Dust of Azoth available if you plan to convert surplus gemstones at an alchemy bench.

Open the target character’s Ascension page and note the gemstone element and boss drop requirement.
Choose a boss whose reward list includes that gemstone family and, if relevant, the character’s boss-specific material.
Travel to the boss arena and defeat it.
Claim the reward with Original Resin.
Check how many gemstones and boss drops were received before spending them.
At an alchemy bench, use Dust of Azoth to convert surplus gems of another element if the recipe is available.
Return to the character’s Ascension page and apply the materials.

Farming tips

Favor a boss that supplies both the needed gemstone family and the character’s unique boss drop.
Use Dust of Azoth to rebalance surplus elements rather than farming an unsuitable boss solely for gems.

Repeat, collect and use

World-boss claims can be repeated after the boss respawns, with Resin required each time. The material yield varies by claim and World Level.

Common mistakes

Choosing a boss only for its element: also check whether it supplies the character’s unique drop.
Expecting a fixed gemstone amount: inspect the reward and inventory after each claim.
Converting without Dust of Azoth: confirm the required conversion item before crafting.

When to stop or switch

Stop when both gemstone and boss-specific requirements are met, or switch to a boss that better covers the remaining materials.
