Before you go
- Unlock Nod-Krai access and the Frostcog Engine area.
- Use a route map for the numbered Paha Island paths beyond the first group.
- Have a party ready for repeated Landcruiser fights.
Farming steps
- Travel to Frostcog Engine domain.
- Start with the nearby Landcruiser groups east of the domain.
- Continue north from the domain and clear the marked enemies.
- Follow the route northwest to the next groups.
- Use the route map’s remaining numbered Paha Island paths to reach additional Landcruisers.
- Check your Drive Shaft inventory after the circuit.
- At an alchemy bench, craft higher tiers from lower-tier shafts as needed.
- Use the materials in the planned character or weapon upgrade.
- The domain is a starting landmark, not the source of the drops; defeat the Landcruisers in the field.
- Use alchemy to cover tier gaps rather than repeating only the closest group.
Repeat, collect and use
The enemy route can be repeated after the normal field-enemy reset. Drop amounts and tiers can vary.
Common mistakes
- Running the domain for shafts: the enemies around Paha Island drop them.
- Stopping east of the domain despite needing more: continue north and northwest.
- Expecting a guaranteed high tier: craft from lower drops when possible.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the required shaft tier is sufficient or when you have cleared the mapped Paha Island groups available to you.
