Before you go
- Begin an escape attempt and collect some Obols.
- Have a specific Key-funded weapon or Mirror unlock in mind.
- Encounter a Charon shop during the run.
Farming steps
- Progress through chambers and collect Obols when practical.
- At a Charon shop, inspect the full displayed inventory.
- Check whether Chthonic Keys are among the items offered.
- Compare the listed price with your current Obols and the value of other visible purchases.
- Buy the Keys if they support your planned unlock and the cost is acceptable.
- Continue the run, then spend the Keys on the account unlock you selected.
- Shop stock is variable; treat Keys as a possible offer, not a guaranteed purchase.
- If Keys are absent, use a displayed Key chamber reward or check the Broker after returning to the House.
Repeat, collect and use
Potentially repeatable whenever a shop lists Keys, but both shop encounters and stock vary.
Common mistakes
- Entering a shop assuming it will sell Keys; inspect what is actually offered.
- Spending all Obols on Keys when another purchase better supports the run; compare the inventory.
- Confusing a shop purchase with a free chamber reward; budget the displayed cost.
When to stop or switch
Stop buying Keys once the planned unlock is funded, or skip the purchase if the shop does not list them or the Obols are more valuable elsewhere.
