- Unlock access to the Broker.
- Hold a surplus resource that appears in a current offer.
- Know which output resource would support a planned purchase or upgrade.
Farming steps
- Visit the Broker after returning to the House.
- Inspect the currently available exchange options.
- Identify whether an offer produces the resource you actually need.
- Compare its cost with direct uses for the resource you would spend.
- Trade only if the output moves a planned goal forward.
- Return to normal collection sources for the input resource if you need to rebuild your reserve.
- The Broker’s inventory changes, so check the menu rather than planning around an unavailable offer.
- Trades go upward through the resource ladder; preserve lower-tier materials needed for gifts or Contractor work.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable when suitable offers appear and you have resources to exchange; inventory and costs are offer-dependent.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a desired trade is always listed; review the current menu before farming inputs for it.
- Trading a resource reserved for a specific unlock; compare opportunity costs first.
- Expecting a downward conversion; Broker exchanges do not return a higher-tier resource to lower tiers.
