Haunted Caverns Kill Count mode

Kill Count gives Haunted Caverns a clear enemy-defeat target and is a direct way to pursue the mode’s objective after its unlock quest.

Where to farm

Haunted Caverns, with stage mode changed at the Shrine of Torment in camp.

Once Berserker I is complete, change Haunted Caverns to Kill Count at the Shrine of Torment. The mode displays its required kill target in-game. Build around reliable area damage and follow enemy flow so kills accrue while you collect what the run offers. The exact target is shown in the current client.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete the Haunted Caverns Berserker I quest.
  • Unlock and select Haunted Caverns.
  • Use a build with enough area damage and survival to keep clearing enemies.
  1. At camp, open the Shrine of Torment and select Haunted Caverns’ Kill Count mode.
  2. Read the in-client kill target and any current mode details before entering.
  3. Choose a character, abilities and equipment that can hit groups of enemies consistently.
  4. Enter the hall and move along the enemy flow, keeping attacks active as groups approach.
  5. Collect useful drops and gold when it is safe without losing the main kill objective.
  6. Watch the displayed counter and continue clearing until the target is reached or the run ends.
  7. Return to camp and check the completed objective and any resulting progression.

Farming tips

  • Favor steady group clearing over chasing isolated enemies far from the route.
  • Use the displayed counter as your progress check; do not rely on a remembered target value.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable as a stage mode after the Berserker I unlock. Each run is a new attempt at the displayed kill target and its associated progression.

Common mistakes

  • Looking for the mode before completing Berserker I: finish the quest, then select it at the Shrine.
  • Building only for a single-target boss: choose area damage to make progress against groups.
  • Ignoring the counter: check the in-client target and adjust how long you continue clearing.

When to stop or switch

Stop once the current kill target and any associated objective are complete, or switch back to another stage mode if that is your next goal.
