Lord of Greed Vault unlock route
The Vault, accessed during a run after the Greed event causes the Wellkeeper to disappear.
Before you go
- Unlock the Well and Wellkeeper progression needed to encounter the Greed event.
- Be prepared for a Vault encounter when the event occurs; the event is not assured each run.
- Use a build that can survive the hall route and destroy the four pillars.
Farming steps
- Enter an available hall and progress while watching for the Greed event.
- When the Wellkeeper disappears, follow the event’s gold trail to the Vault entrance.
- Enter the Vault and advance carefully toward the sealed Lord of Greed encounter.
- Attack and destroy all four pillars that seal the Lord’s area.
- Once the pillars are down, engage and defeat Lord of Greed.
- Collect the encounter reward, complete or leave the run as appropriate, and return to camp.
- Visit the Weekly Challenge Shrine in the overworld and confirm that it is now accessible.
- Do not plan a guaranteed Vault attempt around a single run; the Greed event can fail to appear.
- Clear the pillars before focusing on the Lord, since they bar access to the boss.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a one-time unlock for the Weekly Challenge Shrine. The Vault encounter may be revisited when available, but repeating it is not required for this unlock.
Common mistakes
- Searching for a permanent Vault entrance: wait for the Greed event and follow its trail.
- Attacking the Lord before removing its seal: destroy all four pillars first.
- Assuming every run triggers Greed: treat the event as conditional and continue normal hall progression if it does not appear.
When to stop or switch
Stop when Lord of Greed is defeated and the Shrine is open at camp; switch to the weekly challenge if that is your current goal.
