Before you go
- Unlock Empowered Timelines for high Corruption progression.
- Have a build that can handle the selected Timeline’s current difficulty.
- Be able to complete Echo objectives and the Timeline boss quest.
Farming steps
- Enter the Timeline whose Corruption you want to raise.
- Complete fresh Echoes to build Stability and reveal the Timeline boss quest.
- Defeat the Timeline boss to gain Gaze of Orobyss.
- Follow the newly available Echo Web toward an outer Shade node.
- Defeat the Shade; this is the action that raises Corruption.
- Inspect the new Corruption value and regenerated Echo Web.
- Repeat the Stability, boss, and Shade cycle if you still need more Corruption.
- Outer Shades generally grant more Corruption; do not mistake distance alone for a Corruption increase.
- If a Shade kill does not raise Corruption, inspect your Weaver tree for a node that prevents the gain.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable: each Shade kill raises Corruption and resets the Web. The boss-to-Shade cycle must be rebuilt after each reset.
Common mistakes
- Expecting Echoes or boss kills alone to raise Corruption: only killing a Shade does so.
- Skipping the Timeline boss: without its Gaze, the next Shade gain may be smaller.
- Pushing the Web beyond your survivability: take a reachable Shade and build power before attempting harder nodes.
When to stop or switch
For Pinnacle Morditas access, stop at 400 Corruption on the Timeline where you will place Demigod’s Ascendance; higher Corruption is unnecessary for that gate.
