Visit the Observatory and speak with the Circle of Fortune representative.
Review the Lens unlock options and their displayed effects.
Spend Favor to unlock a Lens appropriate to your farming goal.
Place the Lens in a Telescope slot and confirm its effect is active.
Review the resulting Prophecy options and match trigger to your planned content.
Select the Prophecy and complete its stated event.
Collect its drops and reassess whether the same Lens still supports your next target.

The Lens of Tyranny is described as speeding the selected Prophecy; Lens of Charity helps other Prophecies charge faster.
Treat each Telescope’s displayed effect as authoritative if a patch has changed Lens behavior.

Lens setup can be reused for later Prophecies, but unlocking a Lens is a faction progression purchase rather than a consumable farming drop.

Buying a Lens before its rank requirement: verify the faction interface first.
Slotting a Lens without checking its effect: read the active description before committing to the Prophecy pool.
Using a Lens that conflicts with your planned activity: choose one that works with the event you can actually complete.

Stop investing in Lens unlocks when your desired Prophecy pool is practical or another faction benefit is a better use of Favor.
