Copper Wire at the Assembler
At the Assembler at your homestead, supplied with Copper Ore gathered from Small Copper Deposits or Copper Chunks.
Before you go
- Access to an Assembler.
- Copper Ore from deposits or Copper Chunks processed through a Mineral Crusher.
- Storage for both raw Ore and finished Copper Wire.
Farming steps
- Check the Resource Delivery Cannon or current construction plan to confirm Copper Wire is the target.
- Gather Copper Ore from Small Copper Deposits with the Spike Saw, then collect loose drops with the Resource Vacuum.
- If using Copper Chunks, process them through the Mineral Crusher to improve their Copper Ore yield.
- Return to the homestead and hold back any Ore needed for immediate construction.
- Load Copper Ore into the Assembler and select the Copper Wire recipe.
- Collect the finished Copper Wire and store it separately from raw Ore.
- Deliver the requested wire or use it in the construct that needs it, then recheck your remaining stock.
- Plan the amount around the live request rather than converting your entire Ore supply.
- Copper Wire must be made at the Assembler; collecting more Ore alone does not satisfy a wire request.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the processing cycle whenever you have Copper Ore and a need for wire. Each batch consumes raw Ore, so wire production depends on continued mining or chunk processing.
Common mistakes
- Taking raw Ore to the cannon when Wire is requested: process it at the Assembler first.
- Using all Ore for wire before checking construction needs: reserve raw material for current builds.
- Expecting Copper Chunks to go directly into the Assembler: crush chunks first to obtain Ore.
When to stop or switch
Stop processing when the active wire request or planned construct is supplied; switch back to ore gathering when your wire and raw Copper reserves run low.
