Gear Transfer moves honing investment from an old item to a replacement piece for a silver fee. Use it when you obtain a better item and want to retain progression instead of starting its honing track from scratch. The transfer preview shows the selected items and cost; review it carefully before confirming, then equip the replacement.
Before you go A previously honed gear piece. A replacement gear piece eligible for transfer. Enough silver for the displayed transfer fee. Compare the old and replacement pieces and decide which item should receive the honing investment. Visit a honing vendor and select Gear Transfer. Place the previously honed piece in the source slot and the replacement in the target slot. Read the preview to confirm the items and silver fee are correct. Confirm the transfer only after checking the resulting gear state. Equip the replacement piece and verify its item level and honing status. Keep or discard the old item according to its remaining use and the game’s item rules. Farming tips The transfer costs silver, so check the preview before confirming. Review the target item carefully; selecting the wrong piece can move progression where you did not intend. Repeat, collect and use Repeat when you replace a honed piece and have a new eligible target. Each transfer requires its own silver fee; there is no daily reward loop.
Common mistakes Reversing source and target risks applying the transfer incorrectly; verify both slots in the preview. Ignoring the silver fee can leave too little currency for other needs; review the displayed cost first. Assuming every replacement is eligible can waste time; use the vendor’s interface to confirm eligibility. When to stop or switch Stop once the new piece shows the intended honing state and is equipped; wait to transfer again until another replacement is worth the cost.
