Tech Duinn Geata encounter and mission-clear route
Tech Duinn Geata in eastern Sen Mag, reachable via the Sen Mag Moon Gate or Dungeon Guide; a similar Geata is available in Scuabtuinne after Generation 23 and its sidequest.
Before you go
- Access to Tech Duinn and an unlocked mission.
- A party of up to four players, or a suitable solo setup.
- A clear plan for handling the Geata’s attack indicators and timed meter check.
Farming steps
- Travel to Tech Duinn and interact with the Geata to select an unlocked mission and difficulty.
- Enter with your party and identify the Geata’s indicators as the encounter begins.
- When the ring indicates a laser attack, move out of its projected path and avoid staying in the beam.
- Keep pets clear of the laser area; the attacks can put them at serious risk.
- When the Geata falls below half health and the blue meter appears, coordinate rapid hits to deplete it before it fills.
- Use the brief vulnerability after a successful meter check to continue damage.
- Defeat the mission encounter, open the end chest, and collect the rewards shown.
- Fast-hitting attacks help the party push down the Petrifying Explosion meter before it recovers.
- Avoid clustering around the Geata during laser tells; assign a caller to identify the indicator for the group.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the mission route as desired, subject to the selected mission’s entry requirements and any pass requirements for its difficulty. Each clear ends at its reward chest; rewards may vary.
Common mistakes
- Ignoring the ring indicator and remaining in the laser path; watch the tell and move clear before the attack lands.
- Bringing pets into a dangerous laser pattern; dismiss or reposition them for this encounter.
- Waiting too long to respond to Petrifying Explosion; switch to fast hits and coordinate as soon as the meter appears.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have collected the mission rewards you need or your party can no longer clear the encounter reliably; switch mission or difficulty to match readiness.
