CRAFTING & INGREDIENTS

Renewable trading

A protected village or trading area with employed villagers and their workstations.

Trade farmed goods to an employed villager whose offer accepts them. Farmers may buy crops and fletchers may offer a stick trade, but offers vary, so inspect the actual trade before committing to a production plan.

Your world seed map · Java 26.3

Enter your world seed, generation version and dimension to locate biomes and structures. Ore deposits still require the depth and tool instructions below.

Match the version that generated your chunks. Biome maps do not show exact ore blocks.

GET STARTED

How to craft

Before you craft

  • A villager with an offer for an item you can produce.
  • Access to the villager's workstation for work and restocking.
  • A supply of the requested crops, sticks or other accepted goods.
  1. Protect the trading area and identify employed farmers or fletchers.
  2. Open each villager's trade interface and check the actual item and emerald offer.
  3. Note the matching workstation: a farmer uses a composter and a fletcher uses a fletching table.
  4. Produce the requested goods through farming, gathering or crafting.
  5. Trade the goods for emeralds, then store the emeralds and replenish your goods supply.
  6. Allow the villager to work and restock at its workstation before trying the trade again.
  7. Repeat while the offer remains useful and you can supply the requested goods.

Crafting tips

  • Do not design a farm around an assumed offer; villager trades vary, so inspect before scaling production.
  • Keep the workstation reachable so the villager can work and restock.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable after the villager restocks, subject to its offer and the goods you can provide.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every villager has the same trade: inspect each offer first.
  • Using the wrong workstation when trying to support restocking: match the villager's profession.
  • Arriving without enough goods: stock the item the interface requests.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the emeralds needed or the offer is no longer practical; switch to producing another accepted good if available.

Mountain ore alternative

Overworld — mountain and windswept-hills biomes

  • Iron pickaxe or better.
  1. Search high mountain stone for emerald ore.
  2. Mine eligible ore and gather emeralds directly.
  • Terrain matters: a theoretical generation peak does not guarantee accessible mountain stone at that altitude.
