Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Build the villager area away from other nearby village activity and protect it from hostile attacks.
  2. Place beds so each villager can access sleep; let them complete a sleep cycle before relying on the panic loop.
  3. Contain the hostile mob where villagers can detect it but cannot be attacked.
  4. Provide a valid spawning platform and a route that moves spawned golems away from the villagers.
  5. Collect iron from the farm's output area after golems are moved and processed.
  6. Watch the villagers through a full operating cycle and check whether they can sleep and detect the threat.
  7. If spawning stops, inspect the platform, nearby golems and villager sleep access before restarting.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable while the Java mechanics, villager access and collection route remain functional; output is not guaranteed at a fixed rate.

Common mistakes

  • Letting the hostile mob reach villagers: separate them securely while keeping detection possible.
  • Blocking villager sleep: verify bed access and a sleep cycle.
  • Using an invalid spawning platform or leaving a golem nearby: check both before diagnosing other parts.

When to stop or switch

Stop expanding once iron production meets your needs; switch to repairs if villagers stop sleeping or golems remain near the farm.
