Enter your world seed, generation version and dimension to locate biomes and structures. Ore deposits still require the depth and tool instructions below.

Match the version that generated your chunks. Biome maps do not show exact ore blocks.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Locate a Badlands biome and establish a safe route through the terrain.
  2. Search exposed stone and slopes for gold ore before beginning a mine.
  3. If needed, mine through stone layers within the biome's Y=32–256 band and inspect exposed blocks.
  4. Mine gold ore with an iron pickaxe or better and collect raw gold.
  5. Return to a furnace and place raw gold in the input with fuel below.
  6. Collect the ingots and use them in your intended recipe or store them for later.
  7. Repeat the search through additional terrain if the project needs more gold.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable as a mining trip, but mined deposits are finite.

Common mistakes

  • Searching outside the biome for the Badlands-specific advantage: confirm you are in Badlands terrain.
  • Using an inadequate pickaxe: bring iron tier or better.
  • Forgetting the processing step: smelt raw gold when the project requires ingots.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the required ingots are ready; leave the biome before supplies or inventory space become limiting.
