Where to farm

Anomaly Investigations at the Quest Counter; Bahari’s Anomaly Research Lab in Elgado for spending coins.

Anomaly Investigations are the repeatable activity for earning Investigation Coins. Choose a posted Investigation, complete its hunt, and collect the quest rewards; then check your coin balance and decide whether to spend coins at Bahari. Investigation Coins are separate from Research Points: the coins are exchange currency, while Research Points raise Anomaly Research Level. Investigation rewards depend on the research level, Investigation level, and quest details, so use the quest and results screens to track your own progress rather than budgeting around a fixed payout.

How to farm

Before you go

Sunbreak Anomaly Investigations unlocked.
An available Investigation you can complete.
Access to Bahari’s lab if you plan to exchange the coins.

Open Anomaly Research at the Quest Counter and review your available Investigations.
Choose a quest whose target and conditions fit your gear and current goal.
Post the Investigation and complete the hunt through the normal quest flow.
Claim the results, then check your Investigation Coin balance.
At Bahari’s lab, open the exchange and identify a material you actually need.
Check its displayed coin cost and compare it with your balance before purchasing.
Return to the Investigation list and choose the next hunt based on your remaining material or progression needs.

Farming tips

Use Investigations to pursue coins and Research Points in the same activity, but track each resource separately.
Check Bahari’s current exchange stock before setting a savings target; not every desired material will necessarily be listed.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat Investigations as needed. Coin rewards are collected through completed Investigation results; use your displayed balance to measure accumulation and spend coins at Bahari when a listed purchase fits your goal.

Common mistakes

Confusing Research Points with coins: check the separate level and currency displays.
Assuming every Investigation pays the same amount: review quest details and your results each run.
Saving for an item without checking availability: confirm Bahari currently offers it before committing to a coin target.

When to stop or switch

Stop when your balance covers the material you need, or switch to a hunt that supplies the material directly if the exchange does not fit your current goal.
