Before you go
- Own Iceborne, finish its story, and unlock the Guiding Lands.
- Check the Smithy recipe for the regional gathering material you need.
- Know which region supplies that material.
Farming steps
- Open the relevant weapon or armor augment recipe at the Smithy and note its gathering material.
- Enter the Guiding Lands and travel to the region tied to that material.
- Gather from available mining outcrops and bonepiles in that region.
- Check the gathered items against the recipe to confirm you are collecting the right regional tier.
- Continue harvesting available nodes as you move through the area.
- Watch node progression and gather from larger nodes when they appear.
- Return to the Smithy and apply the augment or upgrade once the full material list is met.
- Gather while moving between target hunts to combine node collection with monster farming.
- Node materials vary with region and node level, so confirm the material name in your inventory before doing more laps.
