Where to farm
A marked Heroic Encounter in the active Monoliths of Madness zone.
Monoliths events alter Heroic Encounters with hazards. Complete a marked encounter while responding to its visible hazard, then collect its reward and check whether it also counts toward a current challenge.
Access to the currently active zone, including any required story gate.
A current Heroic Encounter marker; a group can help with harder fights.
Check the event panel for the active zone and current challenge list.
Enter the active zone and locate a marked Heroic Encounter on the map.
Read the encounter warning or hazard cue before engaging.
Fight the encounter while moving away from indicated danger zones.
If the hazard involves disease, use the indicated cleanse response; for burns or meteorites, avoid the marked area and dodge as appropriate.
Finish the encounter, then claim its reward.
Check the challenge panel to confirm whether this encounter advanced a listed objective.
Farming tips
The hazards vary by encounter; respond to the cue shown in game rather than assuming one tactic fits all.
If your character is downscaled in the active zone, expect gear advantage to be reduced.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat marked encounters while they are available and useful for current challenges or rewards. Encounter availability and objectives can vary with the active zone and event phase.
Common mistakes
Ignoring the hazard to maximize damage: avoid or cleanse as indicated, then resume attacking.
Doing an encounter outside the active zone: verify the featured zone first.
Leaving before claiming credit: confirm completion and collect the displayed reward.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the listed encounter challenge and reward are credited, then move to another active objective.
