Second Madness Altar: Greater Lures
The second corrupted altar at a Monolith in the active event zone.
Before you go
- Level 20 or higher and Monoliths campaign access.
- Access to the active zone and its first altar.
- Three Greater Abyssal Lures, acquired through eligible altar encounters.
- Nearby players are recommended for the stronger summon.
Farming steps
- Check the event panel to confirm the active zone and its access requirements.
- Collect three Lesser Abyssal Lures from active-zone enemies.
- Activate and purify the first altar with a group if available.
- After the fight, check the reward and inventory for any Greater Abyssal Lure credited.
- Repeat eligible first-altar encounters as needed until you have three Greater lures.
- Find the second corrupted altar at the monolith and activate it.
- Defeat the stronger summon and collect the displayed purification reward.
- Do not assume every first-altar clear awards a Greater lure; inspect your inventory and continue if short.
- A group makes altar purification more manageable and helps advance shared Nightmare progression.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat altar encounters while the active zone permits them and you still want the second-altar reward. The zone rotates weekly, limiting access to this specific route.
Common mistakes
- Going to the second altar with fewer than three Greater lures: check your count first.
- Confusing Lesser and Greater lures: verify the exact item name before activating.
- Leaving after the fight without checking rewards: collect the credited progression and items.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the second altar is purified and its reward is collected, or switch to zone challenges if the required lures are unavailable.
