Reach the active zone through Sergeant Knox

Before you go
- Level 20 or higher and access to the event campaign.
- Ability to speak with Sergeant Knox in Protector’s Enclave.
- The story quest required for the currently active region.
Farming steps
- Open the event map and note which of the four regions is the current mainstage.
- If that region is locked, visit Sergeant Knox and inspect the related quest requirement.
- For Menzoberranzan, complete Whispers in the Dark and A New Ally.
- For Northdark Reaches, complete The Call of the King; for Narbondellyn, complete Whispers in the Dark and A Discreet Meeting; for Dragonbone Vale, complete Forging the Shield.
- Return to the event panel after completing the applicable story gate.
- Use the active-zone marker to travel to the featured region.
- Track the relevant event objective and confirm the zone is active before farming.
- Only work on the gate for the current mainstage if your goal is event farming.
- Use quest tracking to keep the correct story requirement selected.
Repeat, collect and use
Story gates are one-time per character; the active zone changes weekly, so later rotations may require a different previously unfinished gate.
Common mistakes
- Completing a gate for a non-active zone: check the event map before starting.
- Entering a region without the required story quest: complete the Knox-listed prerequisite.
- Confusing access with event completion: entering the zone is only the start; claim its event tasks separately.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the active region opens and its event objectives are accessible; switch to the current challenge or altar route.
