Arcanist’s Hold Mageguard pieces
Arcanist’s Hold on the far-left side of the Nighthaven map.
Before you go
- Level 70 combat readiness is recommended.
- Arrive near the Hold and be ready to join when its encounter becomes active.
- Have enough inventory space to review boss and chest rewards.
Farming steps
- Travel to the Arcanist’s Hold area and check whether the encounter is active or forming.
- When the castle encounter begins, enter and follow the group through the event.
- Defeat the Arcanist while staying with the encounter group and responding to combat calls.
- Loot the elite chests available after the fight.
- Check your collection or inventory for Mageguard pieces and retain pieces you still need.
- If the tarot-card objective is present in the current encounter, follow its in-game indication and complete it before leaving.
- Return when the encounter becomes available again if additional pieces remain desired.
- Spawn timing is variable; do not plan around an exact remembered cycle.
- Check the reward or collection UI after each run so duplicates do not obscure missing pieces.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable when the encounter recurs. Individual cosmetic pieces are not guaranteed, and spawn availability should be verified in game.
Common mistakes
- Waiting based on an assumed fixed timer: use current encounter activity and switch goals while it is absent.
- Leaving before looting the elite chests: collect the post-fight rewards before moving on.
- Assuming a tarot-card task is always available: follow its current in-game appearance and requirements.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the desired Mageguard collection pieces are obtained, or leave for another farm if the encounter is inactive or repeated rewards are duplicates.
